This final weeks 3rd ESO students have revised that grammar and vocabulary seen this course through different activities. Creating comics about False Friends, Computer and Technology or the order of the adjectives have been some of the examples.


3rd ESO students have been revising vocabulary by creating a game, “The Alphabet Game” (similar to that “Pasapalabra” we are used to playing on Spanish TV)

2nd Bachillerato students have been reading on TIME Magazine about the lives of the 100 most influential people 2013. Their professions, careers and news related to their achievements have been discussed in class.

Getting ready for the Reading Day

3rd ESO students have been preparing some activities related to the Reading Day. Well-known sayings as the ones in the pictures have approached us to famous people  and the stories behind them. Have a look at some images HERE

 Debate Project

(3rd ESO up to 2nd Bachiller) – 4th December 2013-14

Students form 3rd ESO up to 2dn Bachiller are being involved in a Mini Project during these weeks in order to improve those 4 skills practiced in class as well as some key Competences:

* communication in foreign languages
* mathematical competence and basic competences in science and technology
* digital competence
* learning to learn
* social and civic competences
* sense of initiative and entrepreneurship

* cultural awareness and expression

The steps given have been the following: 1st. Students join in groups of 4/5 and choose a current issue to be discussed by their classmates. 2nd. It’s time to look for specific information about it- select videos in their target language, read newspaper articles and any other source of information… (They use their abilities on new technologies) 3rd. Their next aim is to prepare a PPT or any kind of document for their partners to present the issue. 4th ESO students, as well a those in 1st course of our Bachillerato, were going to be the audience of a theatrical play in EL Raval. As the title of the play was “The Death of Edgar Allan Poe“, students were asked to surf the net looking for information about the writer. Once the performace had been enjoyed, they were asked for some feedback in order to check their understanding.


Speaking lessons provide students the oportunity to improve their oral skills in class. This term,  pupils have been reading some books from their class library and preparing an oral exposition to be enjoyed by the whole class. Some examples of these oral expositions are: * 2nd Bachillerato
